Jean-Baptiste Troye was a Swiss miniaturist active in the early nineteenth century. He was a pupil of the geologist and chemist Charles-François Exchaquet, who produced the first accurate relief models (in wood) of the Mont Blanc range, part of the Valais and the St Gotthard group. He emigrated to London and exhibited his own relief plans of the Mont Blanc range in Soho, at 20 Frith Street, where Mozart lived.
