1st half of the 20th century.

Note: This sculpture could be attributed to the sculptor Shatshombo (or a workshop).
Shatshombo was a Songo sculptor who worked in the Tshokwe area and in the first quarter of the 20th century in Kasai. Revealed by A. Maesen, Shatshombo is the sculptor of several Tshokwe statues in various museums around the world that bear similarities to our maternity statue.
