Illustrated with 14 off-text panoramas, most of them fold-outs, almost exclusively of the Pelvoux and Écrins massifs, and a large fold-out map of the Pelvoux massif in-fine (vol. 1) and a frontispiece portrait, an off-text plate (Aletschorn) + 18 panoramas including 9 fold-outs in the atlas (vol. 2). This important work from the golden age of mountaineering has never been translated or republished; a good copy of this rare complete work. F.F.
