AD 1600 A gold fede ring with a plain rounded hoop that broadens at the front into a pair of clasped hands in relief, the cuffs with transverse ribbing and cross-hatched decoration, the shoulders engraved with stylised foliate motifs continuing along the band. Size: D:19.56mm / US: 9 3/4 / UK: T; Weight: 5.7g. Provenance: Private London collection of an established Mayfair dealer and scholar with over 40 years of experience; previously part of 1970s-1990s UK collection. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
