TWO BRONZE FIGURES, ONE DEPICTING A DEER AND ONE A HORSE - The Embden Collection
England or Southern Germany, probably 18th century.
Bronze with dark patina. Both animals in bizarre poses, sitting on their hind legs with their front legs originally holding something.
H 16.5 and 18 cm.
Provenance:
The Arlette and Antony Embden Collection, France.
Unusual figures, which, as fragments of a larger object, probably served as foot elements.
