The work originally came from Guido Marangoni Collection, director of ‘Pagine d'Arte’ (1914), member of the Italian Parliament, man of letters and critic, director of the Civica Galleria d'Arte Moderna in Milan, promoter of the Istituto d'Arte and the Biennali d'Arte Decorativa in Monza (later Triennali di Milano), founder and director of the magazine ‘La Casa Bella’ (1928-1930). In the first decades of the 20th century, Guido Marangoni was a protagonist and theorist of the confrontation and intertwining of minor and major arts, craft and industry that was to prelude the development, in the second half of the century, of Industrial Design
Exhibition
The work was presented at the 11th Venice Biennale in 1914.
