UNIFORMS. 21st Moroccan Spahis Regiment lieutenant's uniform consisting of the 1898 model tunic in fine madder-coloured cloth with straight collar decorated with crescent tabs, Cherifian star and gold-embroidered numerals, fastened at the front by 9 gilt bell buttons, gilt sleeve braids, red silk lining, attached are a pair of "flottard" trousers in sky-blue cloth with madder-coloured side stripes made by La Belle Jardinière in Paris. Wear, a few moth holes, discolouration to collar tabs. ABE The 21st Spahis was formed in 1920 from the régiment de marche de Spahis marocains (RMSM) and took part in the Rif War from 1921 to 1926.
