UNIQUE BRONZE AGE POTTERY FIGURINE OF A BABY.
Ca. 4000 - 2000 BC
A terracotta figure of a baby modelled in the round, shown reclining on a thick rectangular base with the legs bent and projecting forward. The body is compact with short arms set along the sides and a large rounded head with schematic facial features.
Size: 50mm x 35mm; Weight: 25g.
Provenance: Private London collection; acquired in Germany; formerly in a Swiss private collection formed in the 1990s.
