This token is part of the series of the Mayors of Nantes. Mathurin Bellabre, sieur du Tellement, was an alderman of Nantes in 1714, King's Councillor in 1730, seneschal, president of the presidial court of Nantes, colonel of the bourgeois militia and the eightieth mayor of Nantes from 1748 to 1754. His arms bear Or, a palm tree Vert on a terrace Vert. In the 18th century, Nantes was at the centre of triangular trade.
