This "trial" is given to the Orléans workshop, with the letter R clearly visible, whose engraver seems to be a Guiquéro, without it really being known whether it is Marc-Amy or Joseph-Amy. It should be noted, however, that the style is crude and rather unofficial: Jambu (CMA/BnF) suggests that it was made privately, as a common coin intended for local distribution in the Orléans region (first series in copper). Other examples, lighter and silver-plated, could have been used in the colonies (second series).
