Left bust of the Colony, head laurelled, veiled and toureled; signature DUV; in exergue: CASTORLAND and (date). Rv. SALVE MAGNA PARENS FRUGUM (Hail, fruitful land). An allegory standing, head right, a sheaf and sickle at her feet, holding a cornucopia and a hand-held chignole near a maple tree from which sap flows through a spigot into a container; in exergue a beaver and signature D. V (aligned). Lec.205c - Feu.1586 v.; Silver - 18.05 g - 32.5 mm - 12 h Top Pop: this is the only graded example! PCGS MS62 (51870650). Hallmark (horn)1 SILVER on the edge. Slight hairlines in the fields. Superb to Fleur de coin.
