About 1833-1838 (Restorations) Dim. 25 x 18.9 cm This series was published shortly after the success of the Tōkaidō series by Hiroshige known as the Hoeidō Tōkaidō (after the publisher). Kunisada's version showcases his talent for drawing bijin (beautiful women) by depicting them in the foreground. The background uses drawings from Hiroshige's series. It is possible that Hiroshige collaborated on this series, although his signature does not appear. The series was co-published by Sanoya Kihei and Moriya Jihei, both probably wishing to capitalise on the success of the Tōkaidō stations theme brought by Hiroshige's series.
