In-4, burgundy half-chagrin, smooth spine decorated with gilt filleting, gilt cover, folded cover illustrated by Félix Vallotton (Period binding). A collective work by some fifteen writers, including Tristan Bernard, Edmond Pilon, Paul Adam and Jules Renard, under the direction of Octave Uzanne. The texts are illustrated with vignettes in the text by François Courboin and 30 Indian ink compositions by Félix Vallotton, reproduced using the Gillot process and printed on Japon.
Edition of 220 copies on wove paper, this one printed for Alfred Athys (1873-1932), whose real name was Louis Alfred Natanson, journalist and playwright.
Enriched with an autograph signed letter from Octave Uzanne: "to Alfred Athys Souvenir sympathique de son "parrain" et remerciement cordial à Alfred Natanson".
