First edition of the author's first book. One of 15 first copies on Hollande, this one enriched with a dedication to Alméry Lobel-Riche and his wife. Bound at the head with a signed watercolour by the author depicting a landscape, a second watercolour signed Jean d'Espouy (a painter and childhood friend of Vaillant-Couturier, who died at the age of 30 in 1921), and at the tail 5 leaves of autograph poems.
