Manuscript, Les Antiquités de Luzarches ses dépendances et ses environs et de Chaumontel, 24 June 1789 53 pages small in-4, plus title and table, in one volume of contemporary hardback vellum, title in calligraphy on upper cover. Interesting manuscript on the history and monuments of Luzarches and the surrounding area. The manuscript, which is very legible, is based on ancient sources to which the author had personal access, such as the cartularies. It is divided into 11 chapters, corresponding to 11 parishes. It recounts the history of places, monuments and buildings, castles, churches and farms in Luzarches and the surrounding area: the church of Saint-Cosme in Luzarches, the abbey of Hérivaux, the hamlets and seigneuries of Gascourt, Bertinval, Thimecourt, La Grange au Bois, Lassy, Épinay, Champlâtreux, Trianon and Chaumontel, etc. Let us quote the beginning of the first chapter, devoted to Luzarches: "In spite of the obscurity which one finds in the origins of this place one can certainly ensure that it is old of thousand years and more, provided that one is satisfied to understand simply by Luzarches a palate of our Kings it is indeed, monuments which make show that under the first race of Roy Thieri son of Clovis 2 holds the plaids the seventh year of its reign i.e. the year 680 of J. C.C. on 20 June at the palace known in Latin as Lusareca"...
