VAN CLEEF & ARPELS "Pelouse" Bracelet Brand : VAN CLEEF & ARPELS In 18k yellow gold, consisting of a curved ribbon set with round rubies interspersed with four links set with brilliant-cut diamonds. Signed and numbered Circa 1970 Length: approx. 17.5 cm, Gross weight: 46.92 g A cousin of the "Couscous" model, the "Pelouse" bracelet was created by Van Cleef & Arpels in the late 1940s and evokes the plant theme so dear to the Parisian house. Available in diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds, it also comes in a range of different sizes. The flexibility of this model and the choice of stones of admirable quality bear witness to the taste for colourful associations that continued from the 1950s to the 1970s.
