VAN CLEEF & ARPELS Vintage Alhambra 5 motif bracelet in 18k (750 thousandths) yellow gold composed of three clovers in lapis lazuli and two clovers in round brilliant diamonds on a pearl setting. This bracelet was made in 2018 to mark the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Alhambra motif released in 1968. The bracelet is accompanied by its purchase documents (pouch), box, overbox and suede fabric travel case, all in excellent condition. Reference no. VCAR09LWxx. Individual serial no. JA2257xx. The four-leaf clover appeared in Van Cleef & Arpels designs as early as the 1920s. Redefined, it adorned the long necklaces launched in 1968 under the name Alhambra. Initially in gold, it was soon coloured with the finest quality stones. Grace Kelly, Françoise Hardy, Romy Schneider and many other celebrities made the Alhambra an iconic piece of jewellery.
