Fitted with a Cal. 9P2 (Piaget), extra thin, mechanical, manual winding, rhodium-plated, 18 jewels, antimagnetic with gold escape wheel and fork, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorbers, snap on gold case back, sapphire crystal. Dial signed Van Cleef & Arpels, movement, inside case back and buckle signed Piaget. Diam. 30 mm. Thickness 4.50 mm. Many vintage watches from the Van Cleef & Arpels brand were manufactured by Piaget. The movements and cases were produced by Piaget, as in the watch shown here, and then sold retail by Van Cleef & Arpels under its own name. Reference 9065 is one of these early collaborations, combining Piaget's heritage and expertise with VCA's design and aura.
