A parcel-gilt silver-plated covered vase and stand, by Christofle, Paris, 1875-1877 This model of covered vase can be seen in a photograph taken at the Exposition Universelle in 1855. A similar model is in the Royal Collection of Queen Elizabeth II, now in the Grand Corridor Third Section of Osborne House (inventory no. RCIN 41128) (Fig. 1).
