VASE Hemispherical in shape, the body is decorated with chaotic waves, similar to the vase in the Jiroft Museum (fig.1) (Hesari & Piran 1384/2005: 11, 9990). This particular decoration demonstrates the theory of an iconography centred on the myth of the flood, a legacy of the strong interactions between the royal courts of Mesopotamia and Bactria. Chlorite, 14 x 8.7 cm; Diam. 12.4 cm Bactria, 3rd millennium BC A Bactrian Chlorite Jar. Hemispherical in shape, the body decorated with chaotic waves and similar to the vase kept at the Jiroft Museum (fig.1) (Hesari & Piran 1384/2005: 11, 9990).
