Lead-glazed earthenware vase, China, probably Han period, 2nd century.
Hu-shaped, partially covered with a dark green iridescent glaze. The globular body rests on a circular foot and is topped by a curved neck that flares out towards the rim, decorated with concentric circles in relief. It is flanked by pseudo-handles in the form of moulded Taotie masks supporting a ring.
Thermoluminescence test marks on the heel.
