WHITE JADE LIDDED VASE, CHINA, QING DYNASTY, JIAQING MARK The body of flattened round baluster form supported on a waisted foot and rising to a narrowed neck set with a pair of elephant mask-handles suspending loose rings, the relief decoration depicting Buddhist symbols on the front and back in roundels, on the site pine trees, the domed cover with a ruyi incised band and surmounted by a relief qilin shaped knop, the stone a translucent milky white with a russet linear inclusion on one side, a four character incised mark under the base In good condition, very minor chips and tiny flakes under the base. 26 cm high, 13 cm wide A WHITE JADE VASE AND COVER, QING DYNASTY, JIAQING MARK Provenance: from a French private collection purchased from a French Diplomat
