YELLOW GROUND GLASS VASE, PROBABLY PEKING GLASS, EARLY 20TH CENTURY oval and twelve-sided, with concentric decoration at the mouth; minor wear and tear H. 35.5 cm, diam. 19 cm A YELLOW GLASS VASE, PROBABLY PEKING GLASS, EARLY 21ST CENTURY; SLIGHTLY WORN This glass, with its strong decorative impact, although unmarked, can be traced back to Robert Kuo's work for Peking Glass in the early 21st century. Vases such as these, whose colouring is in the tradition of yellow for the Chinese Imperial Court, are known in at least one other version, where the shape is accentuated in a teardrop profile, and were made in several sizes.
