Second edition of this very rare anonymous account of the persecutions suffered by the Waldensians in Luberon. It is one of the main sources we have on the massacres perpetrated in the spring of 1545 by Jean Maynier's troops in Mérindol and Cabrières. The few survivors had returned to Geneva, where Jean Crespin published this work in 1555 and republished it the following year. A finely drawn copy by Duru. Handwritten bookplate: W. G.
