"Greenery and Animals" – Wool and silk tapestry depicting a lively scene of foliage Probably Aubusson or Felletin, late 17th–18th century. A large tapestry with a foliage motif depicting a wooded landscape brought to life by numerous exotic and wild animals: elephants, rhinos, camels, deer, wild boars and big cats, dromedaries, squirrels, bulls, buffaloes and unicorns, set against a backdrop of a castle, village and hills. Wide border with stylised scrolls and cabbage leaves. Height: 115 cm – Width: 162 cm (signs of wear, previous restoration work, some mending, minor imperfections and visible distortions)
