Lot no. 172
Greenery with birds and orderly garden. Probably Flemish tapestry. Late 17th century. Woven in wool and silk. (Worn, height and probably width reduced, borders added). Height 235 cm; Width: 172 cm. This classic greenery depicts two birds in a lush landscape. One is perched on a branch, while the other, on the ground, appears to be feeding on a worm. In the upper part of the composition, in the background, is an extremely tidy walled garden, whose legibility contrasts with the dense vegetation in the foreground. Expert : Alexandre CHEVALIER
