VERLAINE Paul. Odes in his honour. Paris, Léon Vanier, 1892; in-8 of [4]-34-[1] pp. bound in brown jansenist morocco, spine ribbed, five gilt inner fillets, untrimmed (Canape R[elieur] D[oreur]). Precious complete set of corrected proofs for the first edition. The collection, inspired by the stormy Philomène Boudin, contains some fifty corrections and annotations in Verlaine's hand: spelling corrections, punctuation, additions or deletions of words.
Stamped by the Hérissey printing house in Évreux, 26 and 28 November 1892. The original, published in May 1893, contains a few additional corrections.
A fine copy in a morocco binding by Canape dated 1912.
