First illustrated edition of one of Jules Verne's most famous novels, presented in the first 5th type rose-bundle boards (1867-1874), with medallions circled in black, in a rare colour. The illustrations are by Alphonse de Neuville and Léon Benett. Handwritten ex-dono dated 1873 on one endpaper. Minor rubbing to headpieces; some foxing.
