VERNE (Jules). Around the world in eighty days. Paris, J. Hetzel & Cie, s.d. [1873]. Large single in-8, publisher's English green percaline boards, gilt decoration "with bunches of roses" of the 5th type, decorated smooth spine, green endpapers, gilt edges (Ch. Magnier). First illustrated edition of one of Jules Verne's most famous novels, presented in the first 5th type rose-bundle boards (1867-1874), with medallions circled in black, in a rare colour. The illustrations are by Alphonse de Neuville and Léon Benett. Handwritten ex-dono dated 1873 on one endpaper. Minor rubbing to headpieces; some foxing.
