POLYCHROME FAIENCE SPOUT, DERUTA KILN, 18TH CENTURY with decoration of animated scene in minimal landscape; little wear, craquelure, one restoration to the mouth H 17.5 cm, W 13 cm A DERUTA MAIOLICA EWER, 17TH CENTURY; SLIGHTLY WORN, CRAQUELURE, A RESTORATION IN THE UPPER RIM The decoration of this ewer appears to be close to the work of Giacomo Mancini known as the Friar: a hand that can be identified in several known examples, including the pourer now in the Civic Collections of Castello Sforzesco in Milan (inv. no. 1421).
