VERY RARE GREEK HIGH KARAT GOLD VOTIVE MASK WITH INSCRIPTIONS Ca. 700 - 500 BC. A very rare complete gold facial mask assemblage consisting of six individually cut and hammered gold sheets representing stylised anatomical features: a pair of almond-shaped eye coverings with central incised pupils, a long tapering nose plaque with a flared lower end, a pair of symmetrical ear plaques with incised inner contours, and an oval lip cover marked by a horizontal central crease. Several components bear incised Greek inscriptions. Size: 45-74mm x 19-31mm; Weight: 5g Provenance: Private UK collection; formerly in the collection of T.A. 1980s-1990s, London. This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy.
