Die beeindruckenden blattgroßen Textholzschnitte mit je einer ganzfigurigen Darstellung des menschlichen Knochenbaus (3) und Muskelsystems (14), die beiden doppelblattgr. Taf. mit Illustrationen des Blutkreislaufes und der Nervenbahnen. Der landschaftliche Hintergrund der 14 Muskelmänner ergibt zusammengesetzt ein Panorama der euganeischen Hügel südlich und südwestlich von Padua. - Etwas gebräunt, stock- und fingerfleckig. Erste Lagen etwas wasser-, vereinzelt auch sporenfleckig; das letzte Drittel des Buchblocks mit großem bräunlichen Wasserrand. Je ca. 15 Bll. mit Einrissen bzw. hinterlegten Randausschnitten ohne Textberührung. Titel (bis an die Einfassungslinie) und Porträtholzschnitt beschnitten und mit kleinen Beschädigungen ganz aufgezogen, am Titel wenige kleine Fehlstellen sauber nachgezeichnet. S. 199/200 im Bund verstärkt und am Fuß bis an den Rand des blattgr. Holzschnittes beschnitten und angerändert. Die Blutkreislauf-Taf. im Bund mit langem Einriß. First stacking tears slightly waterstained, scattered mildew spotted; the last third of the bookblock with big brownish waterstain. Ca. 15 leaves with tears respectively backed margin cut outs without contacting the text. Title and woodcut portrait trimmed and with little damages mounted, at title some little blemishes clean traced. Page 199/200 in tie enhanced and at feet to the margin of full page woodcut trimmed and remargined. The plate with the circulation of blood in tie with long tear. Some contemporary notes and underlines, leaf *2 with 2 old stamps at bottom.
