Atypical jacket worn by Second Lieutenant Escoffier during the Algerian War. The jacket was made from a light khaki TTA 47 52 jacket, onto which a master tailor sewed a waterproof canvas, then camouflaged it with a brush. The camouflage is based on French camouflage, with green and brown being the main colours. The jacket fastens with 4 large press studs, but can also be fastened with a buttonhole that joins the buttons on the TTA jacket. 2 chest pockets close with 2 small press studs. Several small period repairs. Sublieutenant Escoffier served during the Algerian War in the company specialising in guerrilla and counter-guerrilla warfare of the 31st Battalion of Chasseurs à pied.
