Mme de Villiers de l'Isle-Adam, née Marie Dantine, is pictured holding in her lap the son of Marcel Longuet, publisher of Villiers' Œuvres complètes at Mercure de France, and Victor's former classmate. This photograph dates from 1910. Marie Dantine was born in 1845, making her 65 years old. Survived by her son Victor, she died in 1920. Provenance: former collections of P.-G. Castex and J.-M.
