VIKING AGE SILVER RING WITH EAGLE Ca. AD 900 - 1100. A silver ring featuring a D-shaped band that displays intricate, stylised patterns. The designs are carved, resembling stylised leaves or abstract geometric forms. The band has a flat section and slightly widens at the shoulders, transitioning into a large flat circular bezel engraved with an image of a stylised eagle. It's wings are spread widely as if in flight, with fine lines and detailed carvings highlighting the shape of the wings. The bird is bordered by a double groove around the edge.
