VIKING HIGH KARAT GOLD HAMMER PENDANT Ca. AD 900 - 1100. A gold Mjölnir pendant in the form of a stylised hammer with a broad, triangular head and tapering shaft surmounted by a loop. The front is decorated with a grid of stamped triangles containing central pellets, arranged in a symmetrical pattern across the head and upper section. The reverse is plain.
