VIKING SILVER BRACELET WITH STAMPED TRIANGLES
Ca. AD 900 - 1100. A silver bracelet comprised of a flat band body with tapering finials in a stylised shape resembling a snake's head, featuring an opening at the back for wearing. The bracelet is adorned with a motif of small stamped triangles. For similar see: The British Museum, Museum number 1921,1101.304. Size: 80mm x 75mm; Weight: 55g. Provenance: Property of a London gallery; previously acquired at the art market in Vienna; formerly in an Austrian collection formed prior to 2000. This piece is accompanied by an authentication statement by Sami Fortune, ancient jewellery specialist.
