VIKING SILVER FREYA PENDANT. Ca. AD 800 - 1000. A silver pendant of Freya with a large, rounded head featuring incised circular eyes and small, straight lips. The hair is drawn back into a bun, and the head is perforated for suspension. The figure is wearing a long dress with a V-shaped neckline and a series of vertical lines suggesting pleats or folds.
