VIKING SILVER-GILT MEDALLION WITH SCROLLWORK.
Ca. AD 900.
A silver-gilt medallion with a raised border enclosing an intricate scrollwork pattern forming a symmetrical design. Clusters of raised dots arranged in quincunx are positioned between the interwoven lines. A suspension loop at the top allows for attachment.
