VIKING SILVER-GILT PENDANT WITH STYLISED BIRDS. Ca. AD 900. A silver-gilt pendant with an elongated, lobed form featuring a central, oval-shaped recess filled with a six-pointed star. Surrounding this element is a series of interwoven, curvilinear bands, forming stylised bird-like shapes with elongated necks and beaked heads facing inward at each corner.
