VIKING TWISTED PENANNULAR SILVER RING Ca. AD 900 - 1000. A penannular ring made from a solid bronze rod tightly twisted into a dense spiral form. The hoop is circular in section, with the twisting extending along its length and tapering towards the flattened terminals, which remain open.
