Study for the double portrait of the artist himself and his wife Ida, painted in Paris 1892 (The David Collection, Copenhagen), where she is dressed in the same blue dress with pearl buttons. Several studies of Ida for the double portrait are mentioned in the Catalogue Raisonné under the year 1890, though none with the measurement 40 x 32 cm.
