In-folio, cream morocco, wide lacework composed of wreaths of roses and curved fillets, framing two large original watercolours by Adolphe Giraldon on parchment, set into the boards, spine decorated with wreaths and arabesques of fillets, edges gilt on brochure, wide inner border decorated with foliage and interlacing of curved fillets, linings and endpapers in brocaded silk with the figure of M. Couderc de Saint-Chamant, double endpapers, cover, folder and slipcase (G. Canape R. D. - Ad. Giraldon Del. - 1907). Edition decorated with 32 colour compositions and numerous frames, different for each Eglogue, by Adolphe Giraldon, finely wood-engraved by Ernest Florian. The typefaces used were designed by the artist. Edition of 336 copies, this one of 280 on Arches paper. A precious copy to which has been added - An original pen-and-ink sketch enhanced with watercolour of the composition reproduced on the title, signed. - The trial states of the title with handwritten indications by the artist. - The successive states of each of the 10 landscapes. - The original pen and watercolour sketch of the composition on the front of the binding. - The sketchbook used by the artist to transfer this composition onto parchment. - An ink sketch of the ornamentation of the binding. - The illustrated specimen of the publication.
