Complete series of children's busts as allegories of the seasons by Meissen
Bust of girl and boy as spring, summer, autumn and winter above a curved base. Decorated heads with sculpturally applied tendrils of lily of the valley and vine leaves and covered by a summery hat decorated with flowers and ears of corn and a scarf with a fir branch. Designed by Heinrich Schwabe, 1876 - 1877, polychrome painting with gold staffage. Model no. K 175, K 176, K 177, K 178. Partial firing crack. Centreboard mark. H. 25 cm - 27 cm.
