Contains a further volume from the "Collection complette des Oeuvres" with the "Seconde Suite des Melanges de Littérature, d'Histoire, de Philosophie &c.", here uniformly bound as the 2nd part of vol. 5, but belonging to the edition by Cramer in Geneva 1761. - The first four volumes correspond to the edition often regarded as self-contained, which was published by Ledet in 1738-1739 and is each illustrated with an engraved title vignette and a total of one engraved portrait and 18 copper plates. The design of the title pages changes from vol. 5 onwards, vols. 8 and 9 without the addition "augmentée avec des figures en taille douce", but no longer illustrated from vol. 7 onwards. - Somewhat browned and sporadically inconspicuously stained.
