WALLONIE (La). 1886-1892; 3 vol. in-12, bradel of ivory percaline with flaps, decorated smooth spines, red parts, 3 general covers (Lobstein-Laurenchet). Rare Franco-Belgian literary journal, founded in Liège by the 20-year-old poet Albert Mockel. The flagship of Symbolism in Belgium, its contributors included authors such as Verhaeren, Maeterlinck and Elskamp, as well as famous Frenchmen and beginners: Verlaine, Mallarmé, Barbey d'Aurevilly, Gide, Paul Valéry. Slight angular staining in volumes I and II, otherwise a very fine copy. A few brown spots.
