Exquisite Lollo In front of the world's most famous cathedral, recreated on a set in the Boulogne studios, Gina Lollobrigida relaxes before a shoot: she plays Esmeralda, the pure-hearted gypsy, in Jean Delannoy's film adapted from Victor Hugo's novel, Notre-Dame de Paris. The shoot lasted four months, from April to August 1956.
In 1958, God created women with Brigitte Bardot, but the great sex symbol of European cinema was still her, Gina Lollobrigida. On the set of Jules Dassin's La Loi, in the Gargano region, she turned the heads of three great seducers: Yves Montand, Marcello Mastroianni and Pierre Brasseur.
