A sumptuously bound copy of this elegant catalogue illustrating the principal artworks in the Florentine collections. The drawings are by Jean-Baptiste-Joseph Wicar, a pupil of Louis Watteau and companion of David at the Académie Française in Rome, who spent nearly a decade between 1784 and 1793 living between Rome and Florence.
4 volumes, folio (495 × 330mm). Title-page and 200 full-page engraved plates (some foxing to a few plates). Bound in mid-19th-century green morocco, richly decorated in gilt, title gilt to spines and covers, gilt edges (slight wear). (4)
