WWII GERMAN ARMY OFFICER’S DAGGER (HEER OFFIZIERDOLCH) BY ROBERT KLAAS.
Ca. Mid-20th Century AD. A Second World War German Army officer's dress dagger of the type introduced in 1935, with a scabbard. This example was made in Solingen by the Robert Klaas Feine Solinger Stahlwaren, commonly referred to as Robert Klaas. This item was likely captured by an Allied soldier, as it was customary practice for troops to remove the Swastika. Small chip to handle material and tip is bent. Size: 395mm x 70mm; Weight: 355g Provenance: From the private collection of an Essex gentleman; previously in an old British Collection, formed in the 1980s.
