Note: West created the "Passstücke" series of sculptures in plaster, polyester, metal and papier-mâché, conceived as extensions of the body. In performances, he shows how the sculptures can be used. His communicative way of inviting his audience to participate actively is characteristic of his work. He stimulates the audience, but also disturbs them. West calls the "Passstücke" representations of neuroses.
