Title and countersign on the back Sight size: H: 59; L: 59 cm Yoel Benharrouche was born in 1961 in Beersheba in Israel. He came to France at the age of 12 and from 1985 trained at the Beaux Arts in Nice and at the Villa Batrix, where he perfected his techniques. His great commitment and sensitivity led him to become a distinguished drawing and painting teacher at the Acadmie Paganini in Nice. Greatly influenced by masters such as Chagall, Picasso and Miro, his aesthetic is rooted in spiritual inspirations, as well as in his lifelong study of religious texts from the Jewish tradition. His constantly evolving work reveals a passion for colour, life and the spiritual nature of existence. In 1993, he returned to Isral with his family, his native land which he felt was the ideal place for his inspiration. Critics have hailed him as a confirmed talent, and his work can now be found in major international collections.
